Jewish and Christian faith leaders gather to celebrate Sukkot.

Christian clergy and church leaders from across Melbourne were invited to a Sukkot celebration last week designed to strengthen interfaith relationships and express solidarity with the Jewish community. The event, hosted by Rabbi Isaac Riesenberg in Balaclava, introduced guests to the traditions of the Festival of Tabernacles, a holiday that reflects themes of gathering, hospitality and community. Organisers say the gathering was also an opportunity to stand together against antisemitism and promote understanding between faith communities. SBS was there to hear what they had to say. #sbsaudiop
